This privacy policy applies to the Earthquake Monitor mobile application (the "App") for Android devices, created as a free app. This service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or usage data from its users. The App does not require account creation, login, or any form of user identification.
The App displays public earthquake data retrieved from third-party earthquake monitoring services (such as the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program) for the purpose of showing recent seismic activity on a map. No information about the user making the request is collected, stored, or shared by the App itself.
If the App uses your device's location to center the map or show nearby earthquakes, this location is used only in real time on your device and is not stored, logged, or transmitted to any server operated by the developer.
The App may display data retrieved from third-party earthquake data providers. These providers may have their own data practices, which are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. The App itself does not share any user data with these or any other third parties, because it does not collect any.
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
